Health & Dental
Eastern Insurance offers two health insurance plans for our employees to choose from, Tufts Health Plan HMO and Tufts Health Plan PPO. Eastern also offers Delta Dental Preferred Option USA Plus as our dental insurance provider. All regular full time employees and part time employees working 20 hours or more per week are eligible to participate in the health and dental plans.
401(k) Savings Plan
We offer a 401(k) savings plan through Fidelity Investments. All full time and part time employees are eligible to participate in the plan on the first of the month following their date of hire and attainment of age 18. In most cases, an employee can contribute up to 60% of their compensation on a pre-tax basis up to the IRS deferral limit. Eastern Insurance will match $.50 for every dollar an employee contributes up to the first 6%. Employee and company contributions and earnings are IMMEDIATELY 100% VESTED. Rollovers from IRS qualified plans are accepted.
Sick & Disability Pay
Eastern Insurance currently provides up to five sick days in a calendar year at 100% of your regular base pay. We also provide company paid Short Term Disability coverage and give employees the opportunity to purchase Long Term Disability coverage at low cost group rates.
Other benefits
We offer a group auto and homeowner discount through convenient payroll deductions. Eastern Insurance also has generous vacation, personal and sick time policies.
